What a Busy Term 2!
9th Mar 2025
We can't believe it is March already in the Infant room! What a lot of learning we have achieved! We have been very busy and have had a lot of fun too!
On Mondays and Thursday we are always busy completing some STEM projects in our room. Take a look at some of our wonderful creations! We have a great selection of STEM materials. Some of the equipment we use includes lego, magnets, magnisticks, magnePads, giant construction etc.
We commenced a project called the GLOBE Rainfall & Flooding Campaign in January with pupils from all over the world including Malta, Croatia, Slovenia, Ukraine and all across Ireland. We set up our rain gauge, learned exactly how to collect and measure rainfall and were busy for a four weeks, taking readings and inputting these onto a special website. We used our estimating skills and were fascinated by the different levels we recorded.
On February 12th we set off on an adventure to the village Post Office to visit P.J. We didn't even find the walk to the village long - it was easy peasy! Our teacher was very proud of our SAFE CROSS CODE knowledge. We learned about the post office, bought stamps and posted our Valentine's cards. We enjoyed a treat and a play in the playground together with our friends. Such a great adventure!
