We have had a super first full week in school and have been VERY busy already learning classroom routines, rhymes, songs and getting to know each other.
The boys and girls have settled in really, really well to school.
We have already had a fashion show where the senior infant children paraded their very own designed tote bags around the school.
We have been enjoying our hot lunches too and have been making our teacher very jealous with the delicious smells of curry and cottage pie! Our healthy lunches give us energy for learning, playing and dancing!
The boys and girls in Senior Infants have been busy writing and illustrating stories about Mr.Men and Little Miss while Junior Infants have been learning how to hold their pencils properly and write their names.
We have been learning songs in Gaeilge mar shampla, Seasaigí Suas, Mise and Madra agus Lámha Suas.
We even had a Teddy Bears picnic where the children introduced us to their favourite stuffed animals. We made our Teddies a sandwich, squeezed some fresh orange and grapefruit juice and decorated fairy cakes! Such teamwork!
We have listened to lots of different stories too and enjoy DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) time every day after lunch.
